While the sun has been continuing to shine, we have been very busy on the farm….. The barns are dunged out, fields topped and the hay made! Along with this, this year’s showing season has started with some good results for the sheep and their fleeces!
We have won the Melplash Agricultural Society on farm flock competition for medium sized flocks, to compliment this we have won the Melplash Agricultural Society on farm competition for the best Managed Small Farm!
Yeovil show saw a good two days of showing with our Shearling ewe taking Breed Champion and our Ewe Lamb taking Reserve Breed Champion. Our group of 4 then went on to take overall champion in the ‘Any other breed’ Interbreed groups and pairs championship. We entered a fleece at the NSA Sheep event in Malvern and are delighted with our second place in a strong class of 8 exhibits for the fine fleece category.
