Last month we were pleased to win first prize at the National Sheep Association South Sheep fleece competition with a Dorset Down ram fleece. We still have raw fleece for sale from shearing this year, please see our Wool and Raw fleece page for more details.
The grass is growing rapidly, and we are moving sheep around constantly in order to ensure that they always have the best grass ahead of them and that it doesn’t get too long and start losing quality. The lambs are also growing well, and we have weaned a few of the larger ones ready for the show season ahead. Come and see us at the forthcoming shows, starting with Yeovil Show on the 16th and 17th of July, and see the Dorset Down Sheep along with lots of other breeds at the main National Sheep Association Show at the Three Counties showground on the 27th July.
